What it does: Walks the storefront like a buyer (home, category, product, cart, checkout, account, as far as the store lets a scanner go), takes a DOM snapshot and evaluates the ruleset with axe-core and the WooCommerce rules. Findings carry severity (critical, serious, moderate, minor), the element, the WCAG criterion, the EN 301 549 clause and the fix advice.
Notes: The scanner puts a product in the cart first: it presses the add-to-cart button of a product page and checks the cart through the WooCommerce Store API. If it cannot confirm an item in the cart, or the store sends the page somewhere else (an empty checkout sent back to the cart, a login wall), the report marks that page as needing a manual check. The scan runs on the service, never inside the customer’s WordPress. A scan of a store starts only after ownership is proved; a licence that is cancelled, refunded or expired stops scans (see below).
